another month, another post. is anyone even out there? sometimes i wonder.....
JEREMY spent a week in san fransico and i actually survived without him (i knew you all thought it wasn't possible).
possible-yes fun-no!
he is currently in phoenix interviewing for a lucrative position. oops-did i actually publish that?
GARET sprung his 1st tooth. followed quickly by his 2nd and neither were fun-thanks for asking.
he also has shown an extreme dislike for rice cereal and is tougher than we all thought. he doesn't even scream until his brothers are really hurting him. conspiracy between brothers lies deep and apparently starts very early.
CALEB completed his 2nd science fair project and has his 2nd first place ribbon to prove it. still haven't gotten those pics off the camera, so you will have to deal with seeing the project pictures.
he is a bit peeved that 1st graders aren't alloted sweepstakes, but that makes the stakes of next year's all the more lucrative..we better get started.
he was supposed to drop objects from 15 feet as well, but chickened out. i will not admit here that i was glad because i was scared too.
ETHAN had his first real case of bed head....it was great! he also gave himself his 1st haircut. luckily his hair isn't long enough that we could even tell where he cut it from. teaching scissor skills is good fine motor skill development-my rear!
he has also reverted back to wanting to be a baby and has a temper like no other. he is known in the neighborhood as he gets put out on the porch often until he can calm himself down. oh i know--the cruelty!
ethan surprises us daily with his photographic memory. he has learned as much of the primary songs as caleb knows simply by osmosis(?) and sings them all the time. there is nothing like walking through wal-mart getting strange looks as your child belts out "..i will GO! i will DO! The things the lord commands" gotta love the innocence..
FAMILY adventures included an all time favorite-white sands. ethan's 1st time actually remembering the place. he thought the climbing up was the pits and still calls it snow (he IS from the desert and it WAS cold!) but we have voved to go back more often. what other place is a 'no-free' zone and hours seem to just fly by as you feel you are all alone out there? best place ever!!!!

the pack mule
the cargo
boys will be boys
come on! technically the animals do it all the time!
a camera can never do this justice....it is so beautiful out there....

okay we tried to get a family picture...what can i say-the curse of the short arms!
i'll leave you with my favorite time of the week.
friday popcorn and movie night in bed is the best!!! even if the boys usually finish watching the movie to the sounds of mom and dad snoring...bet you didn't know you could sleep with only 1 cheek on the bed..
love to you all-wherever you are

Glad to see the pictures. And man, you'd better let us know about the position in Phoenix! It would be so great to have you close by!! What is this connection between El Paso and Arizona anyway?
You've busy. I LOVE White Sands! Some of our best pictures were taken there. Of course Ethan is going to call it snow if you pull the kids around on a SLED! Excellant idea by the way. Miss you tons! Have to email you one of these days.
Too cute!! I miss those days!! Ethan got his photographic memory from someone!! Might as well be you!! Haha I'll have to go shopping with you so I can hear him sing! Maybe in your next post you can tell us how you made such adorable children??!!
Love ya lots!
