i've been taking some great pictures, but getting them from camera to computer to you is proving to be a challenge. you know how when you by a new computer you think 'wow all that memory?! i could never use all that up.' well guess what?! 7 years later and we are at max capacity. i just don't think its right to delete older pics to make room for newer ones so until i can find something large to get rid of and free up some space or give in a buy an external hard drive, these are the newest ones i've got!
we've had a crazy summer so far and i apologize for slacking off. i have great birthday pics from caleb's 7th, will try to get those off soon too. until then. you will have to be satisfied with rainy days and sundays at the mullins house!
we love the summer rainstorms in el paso. sometimes i think i will miss this most but then i think i will miss a lot of things most lately so i think maybe i'm just being emotional. we get daily rainstorms in el paso for weeks at a time. just a fairly decent rain for a half hour or so, but it is such a needed reprieve from the heat we can't help but to run in it. when we get a good one, we puddle splash but usually the puddles are dry in an hour or so.
well, the rule is you have to get out there in it as soon as you can and play as hard as you can because once mom hears thunder--game over(i know i'm so mean). caleb initiated the strip down rule since he says its more fun and you get the experience faster since you don't have to wait until you feel the rain through your clothes. heck, less wet clothes for me makes it a win-win (win-michael scott!)!! i was shocked at how fast they stripped it down! 2.5 seconds flat-literally!
at first ethan is mad i pushed him into the rain, i think he forgot since last summer about this ritual
so...caleb shows him how its done
and ethan gets in on the fun
THIS what rainy days are made for at our house
baby has yet to experience a rainy season. he was happy to watch but i'm sure wondered what in the world is going on?
not quite sure what this is all about but brothers like it so we'll tolerate..
finally-acceptance!
so after the rain stopped we headed in to dry off. a few minutes later, jeremy takes me to the window and tells me...this..is why not everyone can raise a boy. there in the street is our neighbor who has 2 girls and a boy. the rain has stopped and they are decked out in rain coats and umbrellas just staring at the puddles. no splashing, yelling, naked-ness, nada! i may be biased, but it seemed like our family had a lot more fun! even if it didn't involve the 'proper' attire.
now on to sundays...
a mom cannot resist her 3 boys in white shirts. don't they look so handsome?! ethan calls this his missionary picture. we were running into church almost late so we couldn't hold out for the perfect shot.this one will have to do.
on our way home from church i notice a cute flower patch on the side of the irrigation ditch. wheels start to turn and that evening we are taking over someone's front yard to get these great shots!
caleb indulging his mom. taking more pictures without scowling is definately a talent caleb has perfected
or maybe not
my 2 big boys
3 handsome and happy boys (except garet isn't looking)
love this one except ethan looks totally freaked out! the quest for the great shot of all 3 continues....
kinda blurry but by far my favorite!
look at this charmer
we're in for it..we know...
you try getting a 9 month old to sit still, smile, not eat the flowers all at the same time. not an easy task.
but oh so worth it
what great memories these boys will have of el paso. what cherished times we have spent here. as we prepare to open a new chapter, we are filled with excitment, apprehension, fear of the unknown..but mostly peace in knowing our heavenly father loves us so much he makes sure to send his approval through the answers to our prayers. what a blessing to know we have his seal of approval in embarking on this new adventure. not that all will be shiny and perfect, but we will survive because we are a family! and forever families always.....make me smile!!

laundry day
am i the only one out there that really loves laundry day? i mean not that i love laundry so much that i choose to do it every day. nor that i love to regularly find crayons or rock collections stuffed into pockets (after the dryer). there's just something about those piles of dirty clothes that come out of a machine all washed and dried that really excites me! heck-it even keeps me up until 11 p.m. in order to finish it up and start the day with an empty hamper. i may even make the boys wear their pajamas again tomorrow night just so that hamper stays empty longer.
.......aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh............
